Automate Social Media to Keep Up with Content Demands
Now that you have your Marketing engine humming along, how do you continue to feed the beast without it taking over your life? Automation is the key. Anytime you can sit down, spend an hour, and queue up your Marketing efforts for the whole week, you realize immense time savings without sacrificing the rhythm you’ve built.
The easiest thing to automate is your social media. Provided you have the right tools on hand, scheduling all your social posts for a week is a simple process. The trick, of course, is actually writing the posts and creating post graphics.
Consider writing your posts in a spreadsheet, and make sure that you save your images to the same place for reuse. Congratulations, you’ve just created your first editorial calendar.
When you have your week’s posts, you’ll need to enter them into a publishing tool. Any good tool will have a simple, calendar-like interface. Just click the day, add your post and graphics/video, the channels you’re posting to, and you’re good for the week.
